Three Word Diary is designed with privacy as a core principle. I believe your thoughts and memories are personal and should remain private.

All your diary entries are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to any server, cloud service, or third party. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

I don't require you to create an account or provide any personal information. There's no sign-up process, no email collection, and no tracking.

I don't use analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party services that collect data about your usage. The app works offline and doesn't need to communicate with external servers.

You have full control over your data. You can export your diary entries at any time as a JSON file. You can also import previously exported data. This process happens entirely on your device.

The app may request notification permissions (on mobile devices) to send you daily reminders. This is optional and can be disabled in settings. I don't access any other device permissions beyond what's necessary for the app to function.
